Noisy Streetss Publishing (NSP) is looking for cross-genre, original, creative and authentic submissions based in Obafemi Awolowo university. We don’t want essays, non-fiction or creative non-fiction. We want pure fiction. We want the stories that happen between the power outages and the 8 a.m lectures. Use your lived experiences as students and give us something unique, unusual and creative.
Theme: Student Life in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife.

The Prize:
- Winner: ₦200k + Bonus section publication in LIDD Vol IV Annual Anthology + Publication on the Noisy Streetss website.
- 1st Runner Up: Copy of Noisy Streetss Publication, ‘Ponmo is a bird that has no place in a cultured culinary sky’ + Publication on the Noisy streetss website.
- 2nd Runner up: Publication on the Noisy Streetss website.
Note: Winners will be announced at the NASELS SUMMIT and on the NSP website, email and social media channels.

Requirements:
- Status: Open exclusively to current undergraduate students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. Valid ID required for the shortlist.
- Word Count: Minimum 2,500 words, Maximum 3000 words. (Entries outside this range will be automatically disqualified).
- Story must be original and unpublished.
- Story must be purely fiction. OAU in Ife is one of the most culturally rich Universities in the country. Use that to your advantage.
Submission formatting
- Format: PDF format only.
- Font: 12pt Garamond or Times New Roman.
- Spacing: 1.5

Dialect & Code-Switching
We encourage the use of local slang/language (Pidgin, Yoruba e.t.c.) where it feels authentic. Don’t over-explain it. Let the reader catch up.

Grounds for Immediate Rejection:
- Plagiarism: We have zero tolerance for AI-generated or copied content.
- Moralising: We do not want ‘Sermons’. Avoid stories that end with a forced moral lesson.
- Late Entries: The clock at Noisy Streetss never moves backward. Submit at the appointed time.
